Support Scalpel Labs

Scalpel Tags is free and stays free. There is no paid tier, no nag screen, and nothing is held back behind a paywall. If the extension saves you time, a small donation helps us keep it maintained and build more tools like it.

Why it matters

Free tools don't stay free by accident. Scalpel Tags is built, maintained, and improved by people who believe debugging tags should be accessible to everyone. We rely on donations from users who find the extension useful. Your support directly funds maintenance, new vendor integrations, and the next generation of Scalpel tools.

How it works

A donation is entirely voluntary. You are never prompted to pay. There are no locked features, no trial periods, no freemium tricks. Every version of Scalpel Tags ships with full functionality. The "Donate" button lives in the popup settings, at the bottom of the page. Clicking it takes you to our support page, where you can choose to contribute.

Your donation goes toward ongoing work: keeping the vendor patterns up to date as services change their tracking endpoints, testing new integrations, fixing bugs reported by the community, and building complementary tools that work alongside Scalpel Tags.

What does not matter

You don't need to donate to use Scalpel Tags. The extension works exactly the same whether you contribute or not. There is no difference in functionality, performance, or features based on whether you have donated. We are not a charity; we just believe that a good tool should be free, full stop.

Code example

No code example applies to this page. Donations happen through our support page, not through your code.

How Scalpel Tags shows it

The Donate button sits in the popup settings under "Support." It is a single link that opens our support page in your browser, where you can choose your contribution amount and method. We accept all major payment methods. The button is always visible, never nagging, and takes you only where you choose to go. We don't track whether you donate or email home about it.
